church...

most of the church members went to camp mikkabi... we had only umm... 10 of us during yesterday's sunday celebration! but, though we are few in numbers, god is still very much real to me, his presence...

sister maritess led the praise and worship session with a guitar... worship is always between you and god... never mind the others, your neighbours... guess what, i shared my testimony during scripture time... i lead them in the scripture reading. just felt like sharing what i've been through these 6 weeks in japan... felt the holy spirit, telling me that it's my turn to go up there and tell the people... as i go on, god's presence so real that tears start to flow... had to stop before i collapse and cry... god's presence so great that once again i'm reminded of his love for me and his companionship! "all ye who are heavy laden..." reminding me of his promises... for his burden and yoke is light... that i can lean on him and put my whole trust in him! that i'm never alone though my family and loved ones are thousands of miles away... and how he sustained me through typhoons and earthquakes... just had another one on saturday, in Niigata prefecture, north-west honshu... measuring 6.7 on the ritcher scale... derailed bullet trains, collapse of expressways... 23 lives lost during the earthquake... many more made homeless...

Rev. Rowanne Lemmon, who had been a missionary to japan for more than 30 years, reminded us that "because god so loved the world..." the lil auxilliary "so"... may be insignificant and sometimes omitted... arghhh... god never fails to reveal himself, more and more, each day!

Praise god! There's this japanese guy, Kenichiro who came to accept the lord while he was studying in melbourne... got baptised and now attending NICA! He came to the english service yesterday, coz he's not used to the japanese service... weird huh? it is indeed good to see another japanese soul won for jesus christ!
